TERMS OF SERVICE

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before booking any work with Lovelofters. By requesting a quotation or confirming a booking, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. ABOUT US
Lovelofters is a sole trader / small business providing professional home repair and installation services across South London. We are committed to completing all work properly, not quickly.
2. QUOTATIONS
• Are valid for 30 days from the date of issue.
• Quotes are based on the information provided at the time. If the scope of work changes once started, we will inform you of any additional costs before proceeding.
• A quote is not a binding contract until both parties have confirmed the booking in writing (email or message is acceptable).
3. BOOKING & CANCELLATION
• To secure your booking, we ask for a deposit for larger jobs or . This will be agreed in advance.
• If you need to cancel or rearrange, please give us at least 48 hours notice.
• Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice may result in a cancellation fee to cover lost time and materials ordered.
• We reserve the right to reschedule in cases of illness, emergency, or circumstances outside our control. We will give you as much notice as possible.
4. OUR WORKMANSHIP
• We take pride in completing all work to a high standard using quality materials.
• We carry public liability insurance. Details available on request.
• We comply with relevant UK building regulations and codes of practice.
• Any work requiring local authority approval (e.g. certain electrical or structural work) will be discussed with you in advance.
5. GUARANTEE
• We offer a 12-month workmanship guarantee on all labour carried out by us.
• This guarantee covers faults directly resulting from our work. It does not cover damage caused by misuse, third-party interference, or fair wear and tear.
• Materials and products carry the manufacturer's warranty where applicable.
• To make a guarantee claim, please contact us as soon as possible with a description of the issue.
6. PAYMENT
• Payment is due on completion of the job, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
• We accept bank transfer, cash, and other methods s agreed.
• Invoices not paid within 7 days of the due date incur a late payment charge in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
7. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
To help us complete the work efficiently and safely, you agree to:
• Ensure clear and safe access to the work area
• Inform us of any known hazards (e.g. asbestos, previous structural issues)
• Ensure someone aged 18 or over is present during the work, or that access arrangements are in place
• Provide accurate information when requesting a quote
8. LIABILITY
• Our liability is limited to the value of the work carried out.
• We are not liable for any loss of earnings, consequential loss, or indirect damages.
• We are not responsible for pre-existing issues discovered during the course of the work — we will notify you immediately if this occurs.
• Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
9. DISPUTES
We hope to resolve any disputes amicably and promptly. If you are unhappy with our work or service, please contact us as soon as possible so we can put things right. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
10. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The latest version will always be available on our website. Continued use of our services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
